We’re thrilled to share the latest updates on our work with Ultimate Activity Camps on their Ultimate Tech Camp programme. Our team at Chaos Created worked closely with the team at Ultimate Activity Camps to develop and write the four-day course back in 2020, and we piloted the camp in early 2021 with a small group of children. Since then, we’ve been updating the programme annually, providing training days, both in-person and online, for their delivery team, and creating extended activities for returning children and those wishing to take on some more advanced game-making projects.
Ultimate Tech Camps offer an exhilarating four-day tech experience for children aged 8-14, where they can immerse themselves in the world of technology and game-making. The camp provides hands-on projects ranging from arcade game creation and micro:bit game making to machine learning and website design. It’s a chance for young minds to explore technological possibilities and even share their games and websites with their friends and family. With qualified instructors guiding them, children experience a fun and creative journey into the future of technology and game-making.
2024 has been a year of significant growth and innovation. As the Ultimate Tech Camps roll out to even more locations, they will provide even more engaging and enriching experiences for aspiring young technologists and game makers.
Fresh Content and Revamped Activities
This year, our team at Chaos Created have been busy revamping some of the core modules within the Ultimate Tech Camp programme, to take advantage of new and updated tools and platforms. The website design and Python coding activities have been completely redeveloped, offering a more streamlined and accessible learning experience. Additionally, we’ve introduced a new module to the primary course focused on creating a top-down dungeon crawler game! This exciting addition allows campers to explore the world of game development with a hands-on approach, building their own engaging adventures, with multiple enemy types! It’s a really creative and open-ended game, allowing the children to implement their own ideas.
Expansion of Camps
The success of the Ultimate Tech Camp program continues to soar! We’re delighted to announce that Ultimate Activity Camps has expanded the program to an impressive six new locations in 2024. This brings the total number of sites offering Ultimate Tech Camp to a fantastic sixteen, making it even more accessible for young learners across the UK. Online Coding Games Workshops
We’re excited to announce a series of online Coding Games workshops over the next 12 months that we will be delivering for Ultimate Activity Camps! These workshops will provide a fantastic opportunity for children aged 8-14 to delve deeper into the world of game design and development, regardless of their location, and will also provide those children who have attended an in-person camp with further opportunities.
Our longstanding partnership with Ultimate Activity Camps allows us to continuously develop and enhance the Ultimate Tech Camp program.
