We are delighted to announce that we are developing an Introduction to Programming course which will run at Oxford-based Summer Boarding Courses in 2019.

Having delivered workshops for SBC through our Code Created initiative in both 2017 and 2018, we were thrilled to be commissioned to create an all-new 30-hour course, designed to give students an introduction to programming through a variety of project-based lessons.

Students will have the opportunity to learn website design and development, coding fundamentals using the BBC micro:bit, Python-based projects, and finishing up with a game development project.

As self-taught programmers ourselves, we’re looking forward to inspiring the next generation of app and game developers through our project-based, hands-on course.

Summer Boarding Courses’ Oxford College Summer School academic programme is designed to help students develop their subject knowledge and English language skills as they prepare for further study. Their students receive 41 hours tuition over 2 weeks including 30 hours of subject-specific tuition. Learn more about their programme here.
